The long journey into Radio...

She first majored in Pre-Law, then Political Science and finally Broadcast Journalism with the focus on TV News Reporting/Anchoring. Veronica wanted to be the next Barbara Walters! While in college she interned for a TV Syndication Company and a TV News Station. She then found a part-time job at a Country Radio Station, where she ended up working for 5 years! At the radio station, she started out in Promotions and after enough begging the Program Director let her try a graveyard shift on Thanksgiving. She soon became a regular part-time DJ. Veronica then asked to learn everything from producing commercials to radio sales and made lots of connections. When she graduated, she tried sales (mostly because she was told she'd be really good at it). Through one of her connections, she landed a job working as an Account Executive for an NBA Basketball Team. She quickly learned she was not cut out to be a sales girl and left after 7 months to go back into radio. Months later, Veronica went to work for a bank as an Event Marketing Manager handling the Southwest/Central US region. After months of tireless travel, she again went back into radio and finally landed in Austin! Her experience in radio includes being Assistant Program Director, Music Director and hosting afternoon and evening radio shows. She became a stay at home mom in 2002, but managed to keep her roots in radio in her spare time. She has been in radio for 11 years and hopes to never leave!
